PANTOhealth at InnoTrans 2026: Four Days of Railway Innovation, Technical Exchange and Celebration
From 22 to 25 September, the PANTOhealth team joined railway professionals from around the world at InnoTrans 2026 in Berlin.
Exhibiting with our partner KRUCH in Hall 22, Stand 400, we presented our approach to overhead-line condition monitoring and pantograph–overhead line simulation. The event gave us the opportunity to meet railway operators, infrastructure managers, maintenance specialists, engineers and technology partners working on the future of rail reliability.
From monitoring data to maintenance decisions
At our stand, visitors explored how PANTOhealth helps railway teams monitor overhead lines during normal service and identify the locations that require attention.
Our onboard monitoring solutions collect and analyse data related to:
- Vibration and abnormal impacts
- Contact wire height and stagger
- Contact wire profiling, thickness and wear
- Overhead-line geometry
- Thermal conditions and potential hotspots
The PANTOhealth monitoring platform brings this information together with location data, severity indicators and visual evidence. This helps maintenance teams see the highest-risk points first, review their condition and prioritize field inspections.
The conversations at InnoTrans confirmed a challenge shared across many railway networks: infrastructure teams collect increasing amounts of data, but still need a clear way to turn that data into practical maintenance actions.
That is where PANTOhealth is focused—connecting condition monitoring with the daily decisions made by railway maintenance and asset-management teams.
EN 50318-certified simulation
We also demonstrated PANTO Simulation, our online platform for static form-finding and dynamic pantograph–overhead line analysis.
The simulation engine has been independently certified by SCONRAIL AG against EN 50318:2018/A1:2022 for:
- AC simple overhead contact lines
- AC stitched overhead contact lines
- DC simple overhead contact lines
The platform helps engineers analyse system behaviour, validate overhead-line designs and test different configurations before construction or field testing.
By combining monitoring and simulation, PANTOhealth supports both sides of the infrastructure lifecycle: understanding how systems should perform and observing how they perform under real operating conditions.
Meet Farzad—twice
One of the most engaging demonstrations at our stand was the AI avatar of Farzad.
Visitors could speak with the digital Farzad and ask technical questions about overhead lines, pantograph interaction, monitoring, maintenance and simulation. The experience created a more interactive way to explore complex railway topics and made specialist knowledge accessible directly through a conversational interface.
The real Farzad and the rest of the PANTOhealth team were also nearby to continue the discussion, examine specific technical challenges and demonstrate the platform in greater detail.

Celebrating PANTOhealth’s birthday at InnoTrans
InnoTrans was not only an opportunity to present our technology. It also gave us the chance to celebrate PANTOhealth’s birthday together.
Marking this milestone at one of the railway industry’s largest international gatherings made the occasion especially meaningful. We celebrated with our team, partners, colleagues and visitors at the stand—the same people and community helping us move toward smarter, more predictive overhead-line maintenance.
The celebration was a welcome pause during four busy exhibition days and a reminder of how far PANTOhealth has come since its journey began in 2020.
We are grateful to everyone who joined us, shared the moment and has contributed to PANTOhealth’s progress.
